I’ve successfully installed Mavericks on a HP Compaq DC7900 SFF (Core2Duo/4gb). Mac After install I ran Multibeast and applied DSDT and Audio fix for the DC7900 (as described in this thread: ) After the first reboot (after applying DSDT and audio fix), USB didn’t work which left me without mouse or keyboard. I turned off the system and booted it with -x which made it boot up in safe mode with USB working. I then did a plain restart of the system and it boots fine with USB working fine. Installation works using the onboard VGA, but this board is not supported and you will get horribly slow graphics, so a dedicated graphics card is needed. I later added an ASUS Geforce GT 210 card. This required the following boot flags or my display went into power save halfway through boot: GraphicsEnabler=Yes -f npci=0x2000 darkwake=0.

I bought several of these rigs a while back for around $130 each I believe. Viewtimer 4.7 for mac. I saw this post and decided to give it a try to run a desktop version of Tap Forms, a simple database that runs on IOS and Mac OS.

A very handy app with customizable forms. HP DC7900 SFF (Small Form Factor) Core2Duo E8400 (3.0GHz) 2GB DDR2 SDRAM (I upgraded to 8GB from used stuff I had laying around) 160GB SATA HD ZOTAC Geforce GT210 I had on hand Download the Mavericks installer from the App Store and UniBeast from here. I created the USB installer drive and proceeded. I booted the USB installer with the -x argument and did a successful installation. I am still playing around with the configuration but I seem to lose the USB keyboard and mouse unless I use the -x or the -f boot arguments. I now have -f in the org.chameleon.boot.plist, do not use -x as it disables video acceleration. Installed I think I loaded the custom DSDT file listed and I did load the audio driver mentioned.

I have accelerated graphics, audio, Ethernet, SATA and USB all working. I have disabled sleep (I think) as it locks up the computer. I am pretty happy with the results.

I just need to hook up a 1080P monitor (crappy 1280x1024 17' monitor right now) to it and I will have a nice little box for Tap Forms, email, calander, notes, (synched to IOS devices and Microsoft Exchange) and web surfing. I'm still new to this but it was a fun day. Hi, for the DC7900 there's a relatively good DSDT floating around which works extremely well with 10.8 but has a problem with 10.9 - no keyboard and mouse after it has been loaded almost every time. It turned out to be a issue with the HPET IRQs. To make things short, attached a DSDT which solves this issue and works fine with 10.9.2 as of today. Download: Additionally the integrated HD Audio is usable with the following Kext.

Download: /edit: With this DSDT also Sleep works in 10.9.2 - hell, you don't even have to use NullCPUPowerManagement Put 'darkwake=10' and '-allowAppleCPUPM' in your list of kernel parameters and Sleep works. I just did my first customac with a DC7900 SFF: Config: DC7900 SFF with: Core 2 Duo E8400 8 Go DDR2 800 MHZ Samsung HDD 160 Go Samsung (original hdd, I will replace it with ssd later) Graphic Card: MSI Low Profile NVidia Geforce GT 610 (HDMI, VGA & DVI) - WITH HDMI AUDIO!!!! I used the DSDT and Audio Kext from egrath. And I used the lan kext found here: Installation method: 1) I didn't install the geforce, I did all with the Intel Graphic Chipset.

2) Normal Unibeast Installation of Mavericks 10.9.3. 3) Then MultiBeast with the DSDT provided as above but I also ticked the box: GraphicsEnabler=Yes (required for GT 610) Then without restart, I installed the audio and the lan kext. 4) Turn off computer 5) Open case, install the GT 610. Plug HDMI cable between GT 610 and monitor, remove all other video cable (I use a simple vga for the installation) 6) Restart the DC7900, all is fine. Just go in sound settings and select the fourth digital out for the sound and there you go!
