Nearly 1 year ago, I evaluated multiple Git GUI clients and SmartGit is the one that resonated with me the most, from the beginning with the good 'search for repos to open' to the various advanced features. I've never used or see a git GUI that comes close to reflecting all of what git-the-command-line-client is doing. Part of it is that some of the plugins in IDEs like eclipse seem to have been shoe-horned into a workflow originally designed around centralized version control systems like svn and cvs.

So far I discovered several options: • GIT-TF - this seems like a very popular solution in 2012, regretfully all tutorials are for MAC OS Lion and I'm not sure if this is still the right way. • I read that you can enable GIT support in TFC project but as I'm not TFS administrator I'm not sure If this means to recreate the project or it's just an option that our admins can activate. • There is Sublime TFS plugin, have anyone tried it. • Perhaps there is more options but I can't figure out which one is the most appropriate for my case.
