I have a Toshiba P870 64-bit processor laptop and a Realtek RTL2832U DVB-T TV Tuner dongle. This worked perfectly with Win7 64-bit using Media Center, PrestoPVR and other software. However, after upgrading to Windows 10 64-bit, the TV/PVR software can't find any channels after scanning. I've tried 3 or 4 TV/PVR products and all have the same result.
I believe that it is the Windows 10 driver that is the problem. Even if I install the vendor's driver, I believe that WIndows Update will overwrite it with an 'official' version that doesn't work.
Has anyone encountered the same problem? Is there a solution? Will Microsoft eventually produce a working driver? Thanks Roger Adelaide Australia. I have to agree with you about wasting of time.

Everybody is giving a solution none works. Lost more than 10 hours doing what everybody says. This worked for me in 2 different pcs. Plug in the tv tuner. Windows installs 2009 driver. I setup 2012 driver. Windows changes back to 2009 driver.
I rolled back and checked box that says the newer installed driver did not work. 2012 came back and stayed up. Installed preston pvr and works fine. I dont want to spend any more time even for checking if solution is allready up. Hope someone find this usefull.
When you find the program REALTEK DTV USB DEVICE, click it, and then do one of the following: Windows Vista/7/8: Click Uninstall. Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program). Follow the prompts. Yamaha sound card driver. My solution on page 1 of this thread works, I found it myself and its been tested many times. In fact, I copied 'my' solution from 'my' post on this thread, to this thread, after I noticed that Roger268 had copied several of my earlier posts providing a then outdated solution. I have not encountered any problems with drivers disappearing from menus as you mention.

The Rollback driver button does not reinstall the 2012 driver after Windows overwrites it with a 2009 driver. I found no need to try to block the 2009 driver after the 2012 driver was installed from the driver list in Device Manager. Alec, maybe one day you will learn how to create a hyperlink.
