Additional Dependency For Mac
Reported by May 19, 2017 at 08:46 AM im using a project wide custom build step to copy dlls into my output directory. The custom build I specify the output file to be the final location, and specify the additional dependencies to the source locations. If I delete the final file locations the build step runs again, indicating that the 'output file' works, however if i modify the source dll, the build step does not run again. It should detect the dependencies are newer than the output file and re-run the build event. The version i am using is 26430.4 To repro: 1. Make a file: C: File. txt 2. Open the properties of any project and select the custom build step.
Hardware encoding on both Windows and Mac (used only when trancoding is absolutely required). Support for 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound. Support for 1080p and up to 4K videos with compatible devices (Chromecast Ultra, NVIDIA SHIELD, etc.). Support for subtitles (most subtitles will not require transcoding the video).
In command line put copy 'C: File.txt' 'C: File2.txt' 4. In Outputs put C: File2.txt 5. In Additional Dependencies put C: File.txt 6. Build the project.
The step should run, producint the File2.txt file. Modify and save File.txt. Build the project again, observe the custom build step does not run, however it should. Free screensavers and wallpaper. Thank you for your feedback! But we cannot reproduce your issue following feedback's information you provided. Hi Somi Zhou, thanks for your reply.
Regarding your repro steps, you are using rebuild. Of course the custom build step will run if you do a rebuild. I was not reporting my inability to rebuild, haha. The crux of the issue is this: If input files for a build step change, the build step should rerun.

If I modify a cpp file and build, it will rebuild and relink the project. I dont need to rebuild for this to happen. If I delete an output exe, and build the linker will rerun. The same should be the case for custom build steps. If Input files including listed additional dependencies change, the build step should rerun. Interestingly, if I add a custom build tool to a file, rather than to the project, this works as expected, it's just the custom build step on the project that does not. The project wide Custom Build Tool also does not work.
I'll attach a test solution which demonstrates this behaviour. In the test folder there are 3 input files: FileInput1.txt FileInput2.txt CustomStepInput1.txt If you modify any one and then do a BUILD the step should rerun. This works for FileInput1.txt and FileInput2.txt which are inputs to a FileInput1.txt Custom Build Tool, but does not work for CustomStepInput.txt which is the input for the project custom build step. I hope this clarifies the issue.

Java Dependency Finder is a simple Java based command line utility that can be used to find out what jar/zip file contains what Class. Ever fell into the situation where you are trying to compile some Java code that needs a set of jars but you are not really sure which ones.
(additional Dependencies) Macro
You could very well add all the jars that you downloaded with some package, but you don't want to clutter up your classpath with all the unnecessary jars and zips. This small little command line tool is just meant to help you with that. When you compile your code and get 'ClassNotFound' errors, simply run this tool (telling it folders where to look for the jars) and it will search in those jars/zips and find out which jar you should include to get rid of that 'ClassNotFound' errors.
